Inclusion & environment
Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds is excellent. Leaders ensure that additional funding for children is used well to target their specific needs.
Children benefit from regular outdoor play in the nursery garden and areas of the local community, developing their physical skills by crawling, balancing, and racing on wheeled toys. They also enjoy regular trips to local community gardens to observe wildlife and learn about nature.
My daughter went to this nursery about 8 years ago, and now my son has just finished so we’ve been part of the nursery family for quite a while! Some of the teachers from back then are still there which proves it must be a healthy environment and they’ve always been so kind and friendly. The newer staff are also lovely. I’ve always felt supported as a parent, which really makes a difference. My children were very different, my daughter was very friendly and bubbly whereas my son was quiet and shy the nursery team were great at dealing with different personalities and helping them settle in. They have focused on learning through activities and I find my son telling me about different aspects such as names of different plants when outdoors and he tell me Miss ___ told me about it. Very wholesome. One thing I do wish was better is the communication. It would’ve been helpful to have a monthly calendar with trips, themed days like World Book Day, or even just knowing when they were doing forest school. A lot of the time I found myself asking at the gate or getting last-minute reminders without much notice. It would also be great to have a website or app where we could see photos and get little updates from the teachers just to feel a bit more connected with what our kids are up to during the day. Overall though, the staff make it a really warm and caring place, and both my kids have had lovely experiences there. The school feels very safe and they are extremely polite and respectful. I have recommended this nursery and spoken highly about it for the past 8 years. Thank you to the One World team!!!
Read on GoogleWonderful nursery! My daughter went from age 2-4 and is very ready for reception now. My little boy just started this September and I couldn’t be happier. Amazing teachers that foster curiosity and teach the children to care for each other. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleOur experience at this nursery was extremely disappointing. There are much better schools in the area equipped with professional staff. Please carry out extensive research among local schools before deciding to sign up your child at One World Montessori. Our list of complaints is a long one and if you get to this point yourself as a parent, be prepared to meet the owner of the nursery who will deny every aspect of their unprofessional behaviour. Upon registering your child, please request confirmation that their CCTV is working. Ultimately, avoid this nursery at all costs.
