Inclusion & environment
Managers and staff quickly recognise when children may need additional support. They work with parents and other professionals, and use additional funding carefully, to ensure each child's needs are met. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make very good progress.
Children can choose to be indoors or outside. For example, they carefully hunt for 'dinosaurs' in the garden, using tools to dig in bark. Children regularly practise yoga or walk to the park for forest school activities, developing very good physical skills.
Both our children have had or are having a wonderful time at Orchard. The staff provide a stimulating, nurturing environment and really work hard to ensure every child thrives. We've had experience from the baby room up to the preschool and each stage has been a very positive experience for our children who have loved their nursery days and formed strong bonds with their caregivers. Many of the staff we met when our now 7 year old first started are still there several years later which says a lot! Management are fab too, we have had nothing but positive, supportive interactions. Also there is a nice social side for the parents which Orchard encourage with events like mothers and fathers day breakfasts. Choosing a nursery for your little one feels like a huge decision but you won't go wrong with Orchard!
Read on GoogleOutstanding nursery. I really see the staff as part of the family - they are incredibly caring and thoroughly professional. Both of my children have thrived at Orchard (both with very different temperaments), and I've been so touched by the personal and proactive approach the staff have taken to help them shape and express their little personalities. The preschool is exceptional and the children come out ready, confident and enthusiastic for school with some key skills that help them adapt quickly into the school environment.
