Ovingham & District Under 5s is an independent charity established in 2002, offering early childhood education in Ovingham. The nursery focuses on preparing children for their next stage of life by developing motor abilities, thinking skills, and fostering healthy interactions with peers.

They embrace a progressive and holistic educational philosophy, recognising each child's unique needs and interests, providing an environment that allows them to flourish. Our ethos

Our goal at Ovingham And District Under 5s is to prepare children for the next stage of their lives through the development of motor abilities, thinking skills and healthy interactions with their peers. With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them.

What it's like

Children have fun and are eager to learn at this friendly and welcoming setting. Staff know children well and plan a wide range of activities that excite and interest them. Children benefit from fresh air and exercise daily in the nursery garden and woodland area.

Pricing & funding

Fees include a daily charge for healthy snacks. Parents are also required to make a one-off payment in the first term for a starter pack containing essential items. Extra hours are charged at an hourly rate for children who do not receive funding.
