Pakistan Community Centre 3D HAF

About this day nursery

The Pakistan Community Centre in Derby, established in the early 1980s with support from Derby City Council, serves as a vital hub for the Pakistani community while also catering to other community groups. It offers a broad range of services, including advice on benefits, assistance with visa and passport applications, and sports opportunities for various age groups, notably a gymnasium.

The centre boasts one of the largest community halls in the East Midlands, frequently used for significant events like wedding receptions, community gatherings, meetings, and faith celebrations, sometimes accommodating up to 2,000 people for weddings. These events are a primary source of revenue for the centre.

The facility has undergone extensive refurbishments, enhancing its CCTV, alarm systems, toilets, reception area, kitchen, meeting rooms, and disabled access. It also features a new gymnasium with changing rooms and a sauna, improved lighting, a new stage, and external improvements.

The centre actively collaborates with local organisations such as Job Education & Training & the Mosques and participates in Normanton and Arboretum Neighbourhood Boards to remain responsive to community needs and contribute to local discussions.
