Parkside Nursery School, established over 35 years ago and led by Mrs. Elizabeth Locke, is a welcoming and intimate 28-place nursery. Situated in a converted Victorian coach house, the nursery provides a secure and safe garden environment for children to explore and learn.
The dedicated and qualified staff focus on nurturing every child's emotional, intellectual, and physical development through stimulating activities and hands-on learning experiences. The nursery aims to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where children can naturally reach their social, emotional, and physical milestones through cooperative play and creative engagement.
Parkside offers various session types, including morning, afternoon, and full-day options, with the flexibility of term-time attendance. They also provide school pick-up and drop-off services for Mountfields, alongside holiday clubs.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
They praise the staff and say they receive regular updates about what children are learning.
Parents also comment on how the staff support children's home learning.
Inclusion & environment
Children's additional needs are quickly identified, and targeted support is provided. The nursery manager works closely with other agencies and parents to ensure that the needs of the children are met. This results in all children making good developmental progress while at the nursery.
Children benefit from exploring a large, inviting garden where they develop large-muscle skills on tricycles and practise coordination climbing tree stumps. They also learn about caring for animals by looking after rabbits and chickens in the nursery garden.
