A significant aspect of their offering is an established Forest School programme, which emphasises outdoor learning and aims to cultivate independent and confident learners through hands-on experiences in a natural woodland environment.
Westwards Nursery has received two awards for its commitment to exceptional care for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children. They offer various session types and funding options, including stretched funded hours across 51 weeks to better support working parents, as well as a fully funded option for term-time afternoon sessions.
The nursery also provides an all-inclusive package that covers meals, snacks, consumables, and a wide array of extracurricular activities such as arts and crafts, messy play, music, baking, and mindful wellbeing, further enhancing children's learning and development beyond the core curriculum. They are committed to fair access for all families, giving additional consideration to children eligible for Disadvantaged 2-Year-Old Funding and Early Years Pupil Premium.

For funded sessions, families can choose between an all-inclusive package with additional daily charges for meals and consumables, or a fully free session during specific times.

Westwards Nursery registered in 2017. The nursery employs 15 members of childcare staff, of whom 13 hold appropriate qualifications ranging from level 2 to level 6, including one with early years professional status and two who have qualified teacher status. The nursery opens Monday to Friday, from 7.30am until 6pm, all year round, except for public holidays and one week over the Christmas period. The nursery provides government funded places for children aged nine months to four years.
