The nursery has transitioned its teaching approach to create a calm, inspiring, and wondrous setting, encouraging children to engage with authentic and natural resources, recycled materials, and loose parts. Their spacious gardens offer varied outdoor learning opportunities, including tree swings, mud kitchens, and woodworking.

Each room is thoughtfully arranged with "invitations and provocations" to learning, supported by qualified staff who interact with children to develop their interests, skills, and knowledge. The nursery prioritises a homely, caring, and respectful atmosphere, believing that happy and confident children flourish in a comfortable play space.

They aim to meet each child's individual needs, ensuring they benefit from extensive play and learning experiences. The dedicated team, many of whom have been with the nursery since its opening in 2007, uphold childcare qualifications and foster close partnerships with parents through daily interaction and online learning journals.

What it's like

Children are settled, happy and content in this calm and homely setting. Staff support them to explore and learn with wonder and curiosity. Children are positive towards new tasks and use their imagination skills throughout their play.

Pricing & funding

Charges are based on age-banded hourly rates for additional hours. Meals and snacks are billed separately as optional extras. There are no additional fees for non-food consumables or extra activities.
