Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) typically have effective plans in place that support their development. Leaders and staff seek support from local authority SEND services to help them to plan effectively for children with SEND to make sure they receive the support they need to make progress. This includes referrals to other agencies who can support the child, their family and the setting in moving forward. Leaders have highlighted that the provision for children with SEND needed a full overhaul to make it more effective. They have enlisted the support of the local authority to enhance their own training and knowledge, which has then been cascaded to other staff to help promote inclusive practice. Leaders and staff have plans in place to support children, but this has not been recorded fully for all children. Not all children who receive additional support have plans in place. All staff are clear on how to differentiate learning to support children's individual needs.
My daughter has been at Cherubs for 2 and a half years and has loved every one of her key workers. From babies up to pre-school the wonderful staff have been so supportive in helping her to grow in confidence whilst always being there when she needs them. The outside space is second to none and we love how much time the children spend enjoying this amazing facility. It makes a real difference to me that parents are allowed to enter the nursery at any time when picking up and dropping off as you get an incredible opportunity to see your child at play and interacting with other children and members of the nursery team in a spontaneous setting. The range and depth of activities that are organised for the children are fantastic and far beyond what I expected. After viewing some local school nurseries I could not believe how far ahead Cherubs measured in every area. We are extremely grateful for the care and attention that we have received from the whole team.
Read on GoogleMy experience with Cherubs Day Nursery (Sale) has been brilliant. All the staff at nursery are always helpful and looks after my son well, this is evidence as he clearly enjoys & looks forward to attending nursery daily! The staff are also great at communicating with us, which has helped us to adopt a consistent disciplining approach between home and nursery.
Read on GoogleOur son is so happy at Cherubs and we’re really pleased with his development over the last few years. The staff are all lovely and fantastic with the children. The weekly menus are varied so it’s nice to see him try different food at nursery. The outdoor space is second to none and it’s good to see the recent investments in the nursery itself. I’ll be very sad to say goodbye when he starts school as he’s really enjoyed his time there.
