What it's like
Children benefit from warm and secure relationships with staff and peers. Babies' emotional needs are well supported, and this continues as children transition through the setting. Staff use key times like mealtimes to strengthen these bonds, and during care routines, they are reassuring and communicative, fostering trust and security. Children develop into independent, confident learners who engage with a wide range of opportunities, with a strong focus on physical development, positive behaviour, and relationships.
The nursery offers flexible contracts and package plans, including a five-session pass valid for three months. They also run individual forest play sessions. Funded places are available with no additional fees or top-up charges.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported to engage in learning that helps them to develop their skills. Positive partnerships with other professionals, who can offer support and advice, strengthens the support for children with SEND. The key-person system ensures that staff know children well, including their backgrounds and any barriers to learning they may face. Interventions, such as helping children to regulate their emotions or reduce distress, are well thought out to help children adjust and feel safe, ensuring their inclusion alongside peers. Leaders effectively use funding to support individual needs, identify additional support, and provide training for staff to identify learning barriers quickly and precisely.
Outdoors, staff help children to develop an understanding of their bodies and their physical development. Children enjoy jumping, climbing and balancing. Staff encourage children to think about how they can safely practise these skills.
My son has been attending Pepper Royd for a couple of months and absolutely loves it. The staff are brilliant and my son is constantly talking about all the exciting activities they have done with him. The management team are fantastic and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. 10/10!
