Play2Learn in Cranford provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years, focusing on a home-like atmosphere to ease the transition from family life. They embrace aspects of the Curiosity Approach, using real-life items and natural resources to encourage exploration and engagement.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, prioritising personal, social, and emotional development, especially for children who may have experienced socialisation challenges. Communication and language development are central to their approach, incorporating signing, nursery rhymes, and dedicated listening from staff.
Outdoor play is a vital component of the daily routine, with children having weekly access to Forest Schools activities in a local park and forested area. This encourages physical development, managed risk-taking, and an appreciation for nature, with all-in-one coats and Wellington boots provided.
Play2Learn also emphasises healthy living, holding a "healthy setting status" and focusing on nutritious food, physical activity, and emotional well-being. They foster strong partnerships with parents, viewing them as co-educators and involving them in workshops, events, and individual learning plans to support each child's unique development.

Inclusion & environment
Communication and language are central to the curriculum, as many children require additional support in these areas. When additional support is needed, staff quickly implement targeted interventions, leading to rapid and significant progress in children's development. For example, children with limited language skills can now express themselves verbally or use sign language.
The management team uses their deep understanding of the community to offer children, including those from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds, a wide range of enriching learning experiences. These experiences include opportunities to engage with nature. Outside, children use their superb imaginations as they engage in a story about a bear, navigating various obstacles during their adventure, demonstrating their impressive physical skills.
very friendly staff that try their best for the kids. good manager who is present most if not all of the time unlike some nurseries and my childs key worker is great who has really worked with my child and has done a great job. my child has really progressed since starting and has enjoyed going. the only down side is the outdoor area but they do take children forest school which my child likes and do sports days etc and also only serve healthy food, which is another good thing. Nice nursery
Read on GoogleExcellent experience for my daughter, staff are very passionate about children’s development. Big thanks to all the staff, although I don’t know all the names but sumra, Sukhi, wajeeha and laela, joti, Cleo and all the ladies are amazing! Regular updates are provided, along with photos, days out to the park and we have seen a lot of development in our child’s development. Thank you once again
Read on GoogleMy son started at this nursery aged 2 and a half. He has now just turned 3. From saying the odd word and lots of babbling in has started speaking in proper sentences. He is now clear in his speaking and his communication skills have improved 100%. He surprises me all the time with his comprehension of numbers and words and I never thought that 3 year olds would know this information this quickly. He is growing into a headstrong, confident and independent boy. A lot of this is due to this nursery. Every week I learn something new about him because of the things he has learnt at nursery. I believe sending my son to this nursery is probably one of the best decisions I've made!
