The Never Ending Story Day Nursery, established in January 2024, operates from a specially converted two-floor building that was formerly a library. The various rooms within the day nursery have been transformed to reflect beloved stories, creating an imaginative and stimulating environment for children.

Located in Hayes, the nursery caters to babies and children aged from 3 months to 5 years. It is open for 48 weeks of the year, closing for two weeks in December and two in August, as well as on Bank Holidays and for two annual staff training days.

The nursery is committed to providing a caring, nurturing, fun, and safe setting where children can flourish, laying a strong foundation for their early educational journey. Their vision is to be recognised as an excellent provider for children aged 0-5 years, offering exceptional learning and development opportunities for both children and staff, and fostering an environment that supports each child's individual and diverse developmental needs.

The nursery actively promotes a strong partnership between parents and staff, believing that warm, trusting relationships are crucial for enhancing child development. They also emphasise inclusion and diversity, ensuring all children are treated fairly, their individuality is valued, and positive self-esteem is built.

The nursery adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, which they consider a rich and invaluable guide for learning.

What it's like

Children arrive happily at this busy, stimulating nursery. Staff know the children well, taking time to find out about their starting points, routines, and interests, which makes children feel happy, engaged, and safe. The curriculum is wide, varied, and designed to meet the needs of all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, leading to children achieving well from their different starting points.

Pricing & funding

The nursery accepts various childcare funding schemes, including Universal 15 hours for 3-4 year olds, 15 hours for working parents of 9-month-olds, and 30 hours for working parents of 3-4 year olds. They also accept Tax-Free Childcare, where the government contributes £2 for every £8 paid by parents, up to £2,000 per child annually. Full-time students with dependent children may be eligible for a childcare grant.
