About this day nursery

PlayDay at Milestone is a nursery that aims to provide a warm, secure, and nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery is divided into two main rooms: "Cubs" for infants aged 3 months to two years, and "Bears" for children aged two to five years.

The dedicated staff, who possess extensive experience and high-level childcare qualifications in Early Years and Foundation Stage, strive to create a family-like atmosphere. The nursery focuses on child-led learning through "in the moment planning," allowing children to explore and develop at their own pace.

Each child has a personal learning journal to track their development across the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The nursery also incorporates two short structured activities daily for pre-schoolers (3-5 year olds), covering phonics and number skills, to aid their transition to school.

A keyworker system ensures that each child and family receive individualised attention, fostering strong relationships and promoting development, with parental input sought for a focus week each term.

Our ethos
