About this day nursery
Playdor Nursery School, a family-run group of three nurseries, including one in Burnley, is dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and education. Founded and managed by Lucy and Cheryl, who collectively bring over 30 years of experience in the childcare sector, the nurseries aim to create happy, friendly, secure, and stimulating environments where children can reach their full potential.
Both owners hold BA (Hons) degrees in Children, Schools and Families, with Cheryl also being a qualified Early Years Teacher, demonstrating their commitment to professional development for all staff and a high standard of teaching and learning. Having children themselves, Lucy and Cheryl understand the significance of choosing the right nursery and prioritise the well-being and development of every child.
They view all children, parents, and staff as an extension of their Playdor family, ensuring a supportive and caring community. The nurseries are open 51 weeks a year, closing only for one week between Christmas and New Year and on Bank Holidays.
They also actively promote professional development.

SEND provision

My son has been at this nursery for a couple of years now, and has recently graduated from preschool to go to primary school in September. This setting is like a home from home and we are definitely going to miss everyone 😢 The level of care these folk give their kids, is to me beyond words, and will definitely be an advocate for how fantastic this place is. We wish you love and best wishes ❤️ ♥️

Playdor truly is a lovely place to send your child.. my little one started here 3 years ago in little tots, through to big tots and finally just graduated from preschool. The staff are so friendly, accommodating and amazing with children... my daughter has loved being at this nursery, she even learnt to swim thanks to lessons during preschool. We've learnt this is her new favourite hobby.. I can't thank the staff enough, especially: Emma (both of you), adeeba, Joanne, casey, Sam, Lisa, Gail the master chef!! And my absolute favourite- mumtaz and sonia!!! They're all a credit to the nursery and to the kids who attend it.. couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks for everything you've taught my child over the years as well as the care and attention you've given along with the bundles of laughter and smiles from ear to ear at pick up time...you truly were the best nursery for me and sophia thank you everyone!! xx

I have two children that attended Playdor Burnley and have done for around 2 years now. They both love going to nursery and have formed amazing bonds with their key workers and other staff members in their rooms. They have made fantastic progress in all areas and I am so glad that we chose Playdor. All of the staff are welcoming, helpful and caring. Can't thank them enough!

My two girls love it at Playdor nursery and have grown such a positive attachment to their key workers in the pre-school and baby room. The staff are really friendly and the place always look presentable and clean. There is always a wide range of activities and ways for parents to get involved. I would highly recommend this Nursery.

Playdor Nursery School is the best nursery I have ever seen. My daughter Gayumi onara likes it very much.The staff is very much talented, kind, lovely and professional. They perform a marvelous team with good leadership. They provide the best care for my daughter. I can see a huge improvement in her. At Playdor nursery simply everything is amazing.I would like to highly recommend.❤❤❤❤
