Playmates Day Nursery, established in 2018, is a childcare setting in Stoke-On-Trent offering a warm and inclusive environment for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm, the nursery focuses on an effective balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities.

Children are observed to be happy, confident, and making good progress from their starting points, developing strong bonds with attentive staff. The nursery excels in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with staff working closely with parents and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Outdoor learning is a key part of the curriculum, with opportunities for children to develop physical skills and explore in the fresh air, including regular outings to the local park for climbing activities. The curriculum also encourages an understanding of the world, including life cycles and diverse cultures, and children have many opportunities to explore their senses with activities like smelling different herbs.

Staff also support early literacy and language development, fostering a love of books and helping older children with early writing skills.

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) effectively. The manager and staff work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure that they are well equipped to improve outcomes for children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Children have opportunities to develop their physical skills outside in the fresh air. They have fun throwing beanbags to see how far they go. Children take part in regular outings to the local park, where they can challenge themselves on larger climbing equipment.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 9 months old (now 3). She loves it. The staff are friendly, helpful, flexible and great with my daughter. Can't praise them highly enough.

My little one has had visits here and all the staff have been absolutely amazing. They’ve made me confident in knowing my boy will be in good hands. They appear to be competent. I would recommend until proven otherwise.
