Inspector highlights
Inclusion & environment
Staff rapidly identify and thoroughly support children who may need additional support to achieve. Non-verbal children receive targeted input in their communication through the use of sign language and picture cards. Management works closely with outside agencies and organises training to ensure staff have detailed knowledge on relevant special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
Attentive, caring and educational nursery. My son started at 11 months old and took a little longer than most to settle. This was only down to his temperament and the poppies staff were absolutely excellent and reassuring me throughout the day how we was settling in. A few monts on and he absolutely loves nursery and has a great time. The staff here helped reassure me (as a new nervous mum) and my son is now thriving!
Read on GoogleI couldn’t recommend more Poppies nursery in Tidworth. I arrived this summer from only French province of Canada and we had the chance to have a place there since September. Since then, my daughter (2) adapts so well. Her key worker made sure she was able to understand her even though she was only talking in French and she made her feel secure and loved. Now, she speaks both languages with ease and she come back everyday with new words she’s been learning ! If you want your child to be in a stimulating environment, that’s the place. And that’s without talking about all the fun activities they do each day, the special activities with the parents, etc.
Read on GoogleContinuously impressed by Poppies staff. They’re attentive, caring, observant and professional. Our daughter loves it there. Couldn’t recommend more!
Read on GooglePoppies in Tidworth has been an absolutely wonderful place for our daughter to be. The staff are so caring and friendly, and really care about the children and their wellbeing. Our daughter has such a great time there. I think the size of the setting is just right, she has a great group of friends and she knows every member of staff well. When she first joined she settled in quickly, I think because she formed a lovely bond with her key worker really quickly. It really helped me to feel comfortable with taking her to nursery (she is our eldest so it was all new to me too!) and she really came out of her shell as she settled in. When she started potty training the staff were fantastic - I have them to thank for our success with that one! And now she is having a great time learning phonics, french, science and all sorts in the preschool classroom. I'm really impressed and very grateful to the team for everything they have done for our daughter. I would highly recommend Poppies to everyone!
