Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Effective assessment procedures support staff to recognise when a child requires intervention. Staff respond immediately if a child does not make expected progress. They liaise with parents and signpost children to appropriate agencies for support.

Outdoor space

Children learn to manage risks as they climb the tree and build core strength when they practice yoga in the garden.

EAL / language support

Staff have attended specialist training in sign language. This helps them to support early communication for all children, especially for children who speak English as an additional language who make exceptional progress.

If you want to pay a provider for not providing care Poppins is ur place. U will be charged for whole days so they can close for ‘teacher training days’ with only 2 months notice. Closing earlier than u paid for over the holidays. Be charged for food and consumables when they close and u will pay for all bank holidays when they close.the staff providing care are brilliant. They do wonders with the children and care so much. The nursery owner though? It is all about lining pockets 💰💵

Everyone at this nursery is really supportive and friendly. Nothing is too big of an issue and they always offer sound advice to parents. We have been extremely impressed by with them. Our child always comes home so happy and their days are really jam-packed.

We’ve had our son at Poppins for nearly two years, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, the staff have been nothing short of exceptional — warm, professional, and incredibly dedicated to the care and development of every child. It’s clear that they truly get to know each child as an individual. Our son has absolutely thrived here — not just in terms of learning and development, but emotionally and socially as well. The progress we've seen has been amazing, and so much of that is down to the nurturing, stimulating environment the team provides every single day. The facilities are fantastic — clean, safe, well-organised, and thoughtfully equipped to keep the children engaged and happy. The range of activities is brilliant, and the communication with parents is consistent and reassuring. We’re so grateful to have found a place where we’ve felt confident and at ease leaving our son.Thank you to all the staff at Poppins!

Poppins is a home from home and we could not have asked for a better nursery. Nothing is too much trouble, they go above and beyond for the children they care for in a very positive, well resourced and child-centred environment. Our son recently finished three lovely years there and he has started school with such confidence and enthusiasm, all of which have been expertly nurtured by the warm and friendly team of professionals at Poppins. I would recommend this nursery in a heartbeat, long may they continue!

Both of my children attended Poppins and they have been fantastic since day one. They have an incredible team of staff who help and support the children all the way through to school age. The children love the variation of activities and opportunities to learn, and have built strong personal relationships with the staff. The nursery have been very good at keeping parents updated with progress and providing one on one care when needed
