Children are happy and settled at this inviting and welcoming nursery. Staff create a positive and jolly atmosphere throughout the day, resulting in children who laugh a lot and thoroughly enjoy being at nursery. Staff have focused on supporting children's emotional and social development, leading to good behaviour and the skills needed to focus and learn.

Inspector highlights

  • The manager and staff provide a safe and inclusive nursery experience for all families and children.
  • Staff are very skilled at supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, adapting the curriculum and working with other professionals.
  • Staff support children's speaking and listening skills very well, helping babies with simple sounds and words, and encouraging toddlers and older children in engaging conversations.
  • Children are learning well from the well-taught curriculum for mathematics, with older children showing confidence in solving number problems.
  • Staff understand the importance of energetic physical play for children's health and well-being, using the outdoor space effectively for running, climbing, and balancing.

Outdoor space

Staff understand the importance to children's good health and well-being of plenty of energetic physical play. They use the outdoor space really well to encourage children to run, climb and balance. Staff play running and chasing games with older children and by doing so are acting as good role models.
