About this day nursery

Puffins in the City, part of Puffins of Exeter Childcare, provides a nurturing environment for children from babies through to preschool in Exeter. The nursery is committed to fostering imagination, creativity, and uniqueness in each child, preparing them for the next stage of their education.

Their approach integrates comprehensive care with a focus on educational development, ensuring children are well-equipped for school. Puffins of Exeter also actively supports government childcare funding initiatives, guiding parents through the processes for various entitlements. Pricing & funding

Standard fees are available upon requesting a brochure. For funded hours, an optional charge of £0.50 per hour applies to cover meals, consumables, and activities. All regular fees are inclusive of nappies, meals, snacks, formula milk, activities, and trips.

The staff at Puffins in the city are amazing. Sasha, Chloe, Toni, Lonique and Lily just to name a few are an absolute credit to your company. It’s clear each member of staff cares considerably about their work with the children and it’s wonderful to know my child has every need met as well as fully enjoys her day at nursery.

We haven't been a the nursery long but my daughter settled in amazingly!! I think we only had a couple of wobbly mornings (which is much less than I expected!) and since then she squeals with delight when she gets to ring the doorbell to go in. My little girl loves the outside so I was little hesitant about the lack of outdoor space but they get the children out and about almost everyday!! I cannot thank the staff enough for helping my daughter settle in so well and I'm delighted we choose to mover her.

My son has been attending this nursery in the baby room since July last year. All of the team are so friendly and welcoming. They are always very informative at pick up and tell us how his day has been, take the children on regular outings and planned activities. My son is always very happy to go to nursery and has a strong bond with all the assistants that care for him. Special thanks to Toni, Sacha, Lonique, Chloe, Diana and Tilly. All the staff are wonderful.

My little girl started at puffins when she was 9 months old, she’s got such a special bond with her key worker Tony, I have no anxiety about sending her because I know she absolutely loves it, I’ve noticed how much it’s really helped grow her confidence and her learning! Me and my family are so grateful for Tony, she’s like having another family member for Bella, she absolutely adores her!

Liberty Chloe and Diana have done fantastic work with my son transitioning to the more advanced group at Puffins and Toni has done amazing work while he was in the younger group. They keep the electronic records up to date so me and my wife know what is going on and really seem to care about my son’s development. All staff at the nursery generally amazing too Fanstastic nursery! I do recommend.
