Rainbow Pre-School provides term-time care in Bridgwater for children from two to four years old. It operates on weekdays from 8.30am to 3.15pm. Ofsted inspected the pre-school in March 2023 and gave it an overall rating of 'Good'. The inspector observed that children arrive with enthusiasm and engage with a broad curriculum of prepared activities and other resources. Staff are described as excellent role models who have high expectations for behaviour, and their support for children's language and communication skills was highlighted as being extremely good.

Children have access to a large outdoor space for play and a wildlife area for learning about the natural world. The Ofsted report notes that children show independence when getting ready to go outside. For children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), the inspector found that staff are skilful at adapting instructions using simpler terms and visual prompts. Leaders check assessment processes to ensure all children are making good progress.

The pre-school offers a broad curriculum, and children actively engage with prepared activities and other available resources, using their imaginations and developing independence.
