Renaissance Nurseries (Armley) provides a "Good" standard of care for children aged 1 to 11 in Leeds, LS12 2LB. Re-registered in 2019, the nursery operates all year round, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6 pm.
The dedicated team of seven childcare staff, with ten holding Level 2 or above qualifications, ensures a vibrant and secure environment where children are happy and engaged. The nursery focuses on developing key skills before school, fostering tolerance and respect, and promoting positive relationships.
Children are encouraged to explore their cultures through songs and dancing, and staff inspire a love of reading from an early age by offering books in various languages. The curriculum incorporates mathematical concepts, physical development activities like yoga, and opportunities for creative expression through imaginative play.
Renaissance Nurseries (Armley) also prioritises supporting children's emotional understanding and provides targeted interventions to close any learning gaps, ensuring all children, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, make good progress. The nursery effectively utilises funding to offer enriching experiences such as water safety lessons and farm trips, further broadening children's understanding of the world.
Leaders maintain strong parent partnerships, actively involving them in their children's learning, and constantly review safety procedures to ensure all dietary needs are met.

Areas to develop
Before collecting the child through the window of the door, I saw how the nursery worker Rizwana came running angrily, grabbed my child and started shaking his hands roughly and dragged him to the back of the classroom for nothing, so how do they behave ant treat when the child does something? I had to see all this, and when I opened the classroom door she ran away, I didn't get an answer why? The lead manager said there will be an investigation for 2 weeks and I will be notified of the answer, we have been in another nursery for 3 months, I still haven't received an answer, I must to report it to police. When I came to pick up the child, I had to hear many times how other teachers misbehave with children - yell at them, use completely inappropriate parenting methods. One day the child came home with a bloody skin ripped nose, I didn't get any explanation from the nursery, the child was returned by the same worker Rizwana - now we have a scar on the nose. When we come to the nursery the next morning, area manager asks what happened to your child's nose ! I do not recommend this nursery to anyone.
Read on GoogleOur son has attended for almost four years since he was only a baby and we are delighted with this setting. The staff are truly like an extension of our family and have excellent relationships with the children. Sessions are well organised with lots of activity and variety. The food is home cooked and nutritious. All cultures are celebrated and respected. We could not ask for more and can highly recommend to all parents.
Read on GoogleAvoid avoid avoid! Avoid this nursery or should I say financial establishment at all Costs! Money orientated business. My son attended the nursery in April of 2022, I was paying £494 a month and any sign of a slight sniffle I was told to keep him at home for 5 days at a time after the date of notification not when his symptoms started. The nursery was NOT following government guidelines. This was a regular occurrence. On top of this there was very little communication regarding my sons day at nursery (the few days he did attend) when asking one of the nursery teachers if my son had ate well she responded he had. I asked what he had ate and she said she didn’t know I would have to check the menu online!?? Eventually we came to the decision that we were paying for our son to sit at home and decided to give in our notice and terminate the agreement. Notice was given as per the contractual agreement. The termination form was filled out as advised by the manager verbally over the phone - who was putting off meeting with me in person and who then later on in court denied this. Tip: Ensure to communicate in writing when attempting to communicate with the nursery. This nursery then decided to go ahead and try and charge us for an extra month!! When we contested this payment we were sent court proceedings and an invoice that totalled in over £1200. Upon attending court the judge ruled in our favour. This establishment shows no values and ethics and the business element of the establishment strongly overpowers the educational needs of a child’s well-being and development. Would advise against sending your precious ones here.
Read on GoogleAs an organisation, pretty abysmal. Little or no correspondence regarding upcoming events/schedule changes. Lots of confusion regarding payments, asking for payments that had been made, and again, lack of correspondence to help with this. No notification of end of contract (contract states 3 days notice by email) so our child didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to friends. Nice new building and facilities but in reality, very poorly organised. Sarah, in particular was great with our kids as were 1 or 2 others, but recent management are very cold, rude, arrogant and uncompromising.
Read on GoogleMatty his very happy @ nurserie, if I fail to take him a day I'm in trouble, there will not be a peace @ home, I don't know what they doing there , but I think they doing a good job, I'm happy with his growing progress. Just want to say a big thanks to you all😍😍
