How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities very well. They adapt the curriculum, so that all children are included, using a flexible and caring approach. They identify early concerns and work with parents and external professionals to put an individual plan in place for children who need it. This ensures that children receive targeted support to help them reach their full potential.

Outdoor space

Babies enjoy crawling and toddling around the safe baby room and outdoor areas as they explore and investigate through their senses. In the garden, babies build on their physical skills as they confidently explore their surroundings without adult support. Older children skilfully coordinate their movements as they climb, balance and ride their bikes with ease.

My daughter has been at this nursery for 1 year. Toddler room and pre school. I couldn’t have been any happier. She has had a great time and still talks about her teachers and friends she has made while there. I love the fact they share picture of what the child did. As well as detail of what they ate .

There are not enough words for the experience we received at Rise & Shine. As parents of a Special Educational Needs child, the nursery played a pivotal role in helping us navigate the start of our journey with our son's diagnosis. Without their support and care of our child, we have no doubt we would not be in the position we are in now. Two particular members of staff (SENCO) and the team went above and beyond to put in place early years foundation stage, Special Educational Needs practises for our child and also were the ones who initiated and supported our journey to securing our son an Education, Health and Care plan before he started reception in September. Our son left the Rise & Shine team in August, happy and confident and talking, ready to enter mainstream reception at our local primary school. I cannot thank them enough, without their help our son would not have made enough progress to school. The staff are polite, professional, dedicated and above all caring. Our son left an incredibly happy child and we are fully indebted to the team at Rise & Shine for the care that showed him.

My triplets have been at this nursery for 6 months now and I couldn’t be happier. As an Early Years Reception teacher with 18 years experience myself I found picking a nursery for my own children very difficult. Rise and Shine is an excellent Early Years setting with fantastic well structured adult focused activities as well as engaging independent provision. I get a detailed daily report about food eaten, nappy change, nap times and activities from that day. They also have a learning app with photos and full EYFS assessment details of all 3 of my boys. Most importantly to me though is that every member of staff is friendly, polite and welcoming. They show genuine care and kindness towards all my boys who are always so excited to arrive in the mornings.

My daughter rosie has been going here since November. I went to look at various nursery’s and as a mother you just no when it feels right. This one did. I can’t phrase the staff enough. Rosie Loves going here for her two days a week and she always wants to go to the staff and kisses me goodbye as she can’t wait to get stuck into her day here. Shes always so happy. She has learned so much whilst being here she’s being moved to another class, I’ve noticed such a difference in her learning. Donna and the team really are doing an incredible job and I fell so content rosie is happy 😊
