River Meadow Pre-School, located in Newport Pagnell, was registered in 1986 as a childcare on non-domestic premises setting, catering to children aged 2 to 10. The pre-school operates during term time only, with breakfast club sessions from 7:40 am to 8:40 am, and pre-school sessions from 8:50 am to 2:50 pm.

The setting has a capacity for 40 children and currently has 88 children on its roll. The dedicated staff team, comprising 10 members with seven holding level 3 qualifications or above, ensures a nurturing and stimulating environment.

The pre-school actively promotes positive attitudes towards learning, encouraging investigative play linked to children's interests, and fostering an understanding of the world around them through activities such as tending to a pre-school garden. Children are happy learners, developing close bonds with their key person and gaining confidence as they explore their surroundings.

The pre-school effectively uses additional funding to meet individual needs and supports vulnerable children, including new families from other countries, helping them adjust to new routines and learn about differences. The pre-school receives funding for free early education for two-, three-, and four-year-old children.

Children are happy learners who develop close bonds with their key person and explore their learning environment with increasing confidence. They demonstrate positive attitudes to learning, becoming absorbed in self-chosen play. They make good progress and benefit from learning opportunities that help them understand the world around them.
