About this day nursery

Ruislip Stars Nurseries and Pre School operates across three distinct settings in Ruislip, catering to children from six months old through to pre-school and after-school club ages. 5 years and older, focusing on toilet-trained individuals.

A third location, Ruislip Stars Nurseries at St Mary's on 21 The Fairway, also contributes to the group's offerings. Emphasising a strong partnership approach, the nurseries collaborate with organisations like Bellybugs, NSPCC, and NHS initiatives to support children's well-being and development.

What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Parents are very pleased that their children go to the pre-school.

They are grateful for the many ways in which leaders and staff keep them informed and involved in the life of the nursery.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well cared for. Sometimes, practitioners do not extend learning well enough for children with SEND, due to curriculum plans not being consistently inclusive and not yet supporting practitioners to sequence and adapt their teaching sufficiently. However, leaders have already planned for improving achievement for children with specific needs.

Outdoor space

Children have good exercise and opportunities to play and explore the environment in fresh air. Staff encourage teaching new words and early reading skills through planned topics, both outdoors and indoors.

EAL / language support

Sometimes, practitioners do not extend learning well enough for children learning to speak English as an additional language. This is partly due to the fact that curriculum plans are not consistently inclusive and do not yet support practitioners to sequence and adapt their teaching sufficiently to meet the needs of these children.

We wouldn't send our children anywhere else. All 3 of my children have gone to Ruislip Stars from 2014 - 2024 so we know it well. It is a home from home for our children, they always enjoyed going. Varied activities and food each day with photos and updates sent to us daily. The staff care about the kids and they are easy to talk to about any concerns and quick to resolve. The head and owner Shahin is simply amazing and has a wealth of experience in the child and educational sector. Even when we moved further out when we had our third child, we still went back to Ruislip Stars over choosing closer nurseries as we just knew the quality and care we would get there. They really understand working parents too. Thank you Ruislip Stars for looking after our children, the peace of mind you gave us was priceless.

Ruislip Stars Nurseries is a fantastic nursery that my husband and I would highly recommend. Our daughter started at Victoria Road but has now moved to the new St Mary's (on the Fairway) branch. Our daughter has attended full-time since she was ten months old and has thrived under the care and affection shown by the whole team. They have always provided the highest level of care and enabled her to achieve her full potential. Our daughter suffers from multiple severe food allergies and it is very reassuring knowing that she is being looked after by such a diligent team. Nicole is a wonderful leader and is working with a fantastic team. Our son also attended the setting during his summer holidays and had nothing but positive things to say - in fact he was a little sad when his time there came to an end! Thank you Ruislip Stars for being so amazing!

My son has been attending the nursery for over a year and i cannot sing its praises highly enough. The owner is fantastic and ever present, the staff, Georgia, Chloe, Nicole just to name a few are like my son's extended family and all the other staff are excellent (apologies for not writing all the names). The take great care of the children, the information provided is excellent, they help out with transitioning whether its for potty training or for naps etc. The facilities are very good and the food is greatly enjoyed. Most of all a safe, secure and friendly environment, we are at peace leaving him there in an environment he enjoys while we are at work.

If you want a clean, modern buzzing and caring nursery, then Ruislip stars is the one for your child! We were sad to leave as we are joining a nursery school, but the owner of this nursery is just so lovely! Clearly she does this business because she loves kids, she takes an interest in parents and is so friendly. The staff are so caring, and hard working. Our sons will miss here and we will be keeping in touch with the staff as we feel like family! Thank you Ruislip Stars!

My first daughter started Ruislip Stars Nursery from when she was 8 months old. When we went to meet the manager we were immediately impressed that her background and knowledge. We signed my daughter up immediately and have never regretted it! My daughter settled in very well and has absolutely thrived. The staff are very nurturing and I am fully confident she is well looked after. She then joined Ruislip Stars PreSchool – all I can say is “amazing”!!! What a great stepping stone into school life, she learns so much and has made great strides in her writing and reading (phonics). She goes on trips, bakes in the specially designed kitchen, practices reading and writing, does arts and crafts, has great freshly made food….the list is endless. My second daughter joined when she was a year old. She was a bit more of a challenge to settle in (because she was older) but all the staff and the manager were so attentive and went the extra mile she ensure she was happy, comfortable and thriving. She is now well settled and gets so excited to see the staff – a testament to how great they are with her. Both kids have done so well and I thank all staff and the nursery manager for that! Couldn’t have asked for more!!!!
