About this day nursery

Sallowbush Preschool offers high-quality, affordable early years education, working closely with local schools to help children transition smoothly into their educational journey. The preschool boasts a dedicated team with advanced educational skills and a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring children are well-prepared for school.

All staff members undergo thorough background checks, safeguarding certifications, and food hygiene training, with qualified personnel holding at least a Level 3 certificate in Early Years Education and Emergency Paediatric First Aid. The purpose-built facility includes a large zoned garden with an outdoor classroom and a giant mud pit, as well as a sensory room, providing a stimulating and engaging environment for learning and play.

The preschool is open term-time only, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. They accept government-funded hours for two, three, and four-year-olds.

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted support. Staff help parents seek professional support, effectively implement interventions, and establish education, health and care plans where appropriate. Children benefit from the consistent approach and make good progress.

Outdoor space

Children gain increasing control of gross and fine motor skills. They have plenty of opportunities to practise climbing, running and jumping. They use a range of equipment that helps them develop balance, such as bicycles and a see-saw.
