Seahorse Nursery (Princes Way)

About this day nursery

Seahorse Nursery (Princes Way) is a day nursery in Wandsworth, London, that provides care for children from birth to four years old. It operates all year round, from Monday to Friday, between 7.45am and 6.30pm. The day nursery was inspected by Ofsted in September 2022 and judged to be Outstanding. The inspector noted that the management team has developed a unique educational programme and places great emphasis on developing its staff. The curriculum utilises spacious outdoor and woodland areas for activities such as exploring with mud and water.

According to the Ofsted report, staff form close relationships with children, helping them to feel safe and secure, and conduct home visits before a child joins the setting. Children are reported to make excellent progress with communication, supported by staff who use signing and rich language. The nursery has strong partnerships with other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Parents are involved in improvements and speak positively about the setting.
