  • The manager is an inspirational leader who has embedded a well-designed curriculum with clear intent about what children should learn by the end of pre-school.
  • The quality of education and teaching is exceptional, with children making excellent progress due to staff’s child-centred approach.
  • Staff teach children the skills they need to be independent, with even babies encouraged to find their own shoes or slippers, and older children clearing away their own plates.
  • The manager is passionate about developing children's communication skills, with staff promoting this by emphasising reading stories and singing.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Recognition and support given to children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are comprehensive and staff are proactive in their approach. The special educational needs coordinator is committed to his role and supports the manager and all staff with his expertise.

Outdoor space

Children have access to a large gym area where staff promote physical development, including climbing and balancing equipment and ball skills.

EAL / language support

Parents report that children who speak English as an additional language have been able to develop their English language rapidly.

All three of our children have attended Seedling Nursery and we have been very happy with the wonderful care they give, and the fun and educational activities they offer. We have been kept well informed with photos, videos, daily diaries and friendly handovers at the start and end of each day. Our children have really thrived there. Highly recommend!

We love Seedlings Nursery. From the moment we first visited and was so warmly welcomed by the nursery manager, we knew this was right for us and our son. He does a whole host of varied and exciting activities and we are kept in the loop around his development through weekly Tapestry observations. The size of the nursery is great, big enough to make a variety of friends but small enough that everyone knows him and us. I would strongly recommend a visit if you are looking for a nursery in the area.

The Seedling Team has been amazing, caring and attentive, since the very beginning. Our son started at 12 months and has been in this Nursery for over 2 years now. It is clear that he loves the place and the people, which is a result of their affection and home-from-home style. And also clear that his development is directly related to their commitment to provide a personalised program. Could not recommend Seedling more. 💜
