SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are very well supported. The special educational needs coordinator liaises effectively with other professionals to ensure that children receive the right support at the right time. As a result, children make good progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Leaders and staff place a high value on spending time in the large, well-resourced outdoor area. Babies crawl and explore the safe outdoor space, while staff engage them with mirrored blocks. Young children practise balancing skills on bucket stilts with staff encouragement, and older children climb on challenging equipment, developing gross motor skills and managing their own safety.

The BEST nursery! Both of our children loved their time here and settled in very quickly. The staff are fantastic - so caring, attentive and passionate about what they do. The facilities are excellent, especially the large garden, which our children thoroughly enjoyed. We also found the nursery setting to be exceptionally clean. Highly recommend!

My daughter attended this nursery for about two years, and we’ve been extremely pleased with the experience. The staff have been consistently attentive, always taking the time to communicate with us about her progress and well-being. She thoroughly enjoys her time at nursery, and we love hearing about all the engaging activities she participates in. We have recommended Shanklin Day Nursery to friends and will continue to do so in the future.

We can’t speak highly enough of Shanklin Day Nursery. Our son absolutely loved his days there. The staff are wonderful, and all his key workers over the years have been loving, caring, encouraging, fun and kind. The wide range of activities inside and outside have given him so many new insights and helped his development so much. We miss everyone there so much!
