Inclusion & environment
There are effective systems in place for identifying and supporting children with SEND. Staff knowledge and observations of children mean that any concerns about development are noticed quickly. The special educational needs coordinator works closely with parents and staff to give children the support children with SEND need. This includes individual support plans and adapting teaching to help children with their learning.
Toddlers climb stairs and enjoy squeezing the triggers on spray bottles as they wash the toy animals. Older children develop their core strength as they maintain balance when crossing a wobbly bridge in the garden.
✨ A Nursery That Feels Like Family ✨ I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care and warmth my twins have received at this nursery. From the very first day, it was clear that this is more than just a childcare setting—it’s a nurturing, joyful environment where children are truly seen, supported, and celebrated. Kay and Becky in toddler room (pebbles) in particular, have been nothing short of extraordinary. Their professionalism is matched only by their genuine compassion and attentiveness. They’ve taken the time to understand my twins as individuals, responding to their unique personalities with patience, creativity, and kindness. Whether it’s a comforting cuddle on a tough morning or a proud cheer during a milestone moment, Kay and Becky have been there every step of the way. As a parent, knowing your children are in safe, loving hands is everything. This nursery has given us that peace of mind and so much more. It’s a place where our children thrive, make friends, and build confidence—and where we feel part of a caring community. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making these early years so memorable
Read on GoogleOur son has been with shooting stars for the last 18 months and I couldn't recommend the nursery and team enough! They all know my little boy by name, have a relationship with him (even in other classes). He loves it here and being part of his class. I get great feedback everyday about how his day has been, what he's eaten and we work as a team to ensure he has consistency in and out of nursery on the support we give him in his development. I'm particularly impressed with the activities he does on a daily basis, the reports and insights I get on how he does a with his classmates. Couldn't recommend the nursery and team enough! Such a lovely community for us to be apart of, and a great foundation for starting school when the time comes.
Read on GoogleWe've always had an amazing experience at Shooting Stars. My eldest went and now my youngest goes and I've always felt so relaxed and confident leaving them there. All the staff are so lovely, kind and thorough. Thank you for everything you do. Rosie
Read on GoogleShooting Stars has been overwhelmingly positive. From the moment our daughter started at 18 months, the staff's welcoming and nurturing approach helped her settle in quickly. Her growth and development has been incredibly impressive during the time here. The dedicated staff encouraged a love of learning through various indoor and outdoor activities. The secure garden provided ample space for exploration, play, and connection with nature. The online learning journey, accessed through the eyLog app, provided updates on progress and allowed close involvement in learning. Communication with parents here is excellent. The regular updates and photos on the eyLog app, along with open communication with approachable staff, were appreciated. The staff were always willing to discuss the child's day and how well / or not she has eaten. The food always sounded delicious. The recent graduation day was a memorable occasion, celebrating achievements and preparing for school. The entire team is appreciated for providing a caring, supportive, and stimulating environment, They are highly recommended. Thanks so much we will really miss Shooting Stars Stourbridge.
Read on GoogleWould thoroughly recommend Shooting Stars! My little boy has been there since he was 18 months and he has received nothing but constant support and help which has nurtured him and made him bloom. My son is neurodivergent and every single staff member who has come into contact with him has been accommodating and friendly. Helen (manager) does a wonderful job and always opens the door with a smile. Pippa, Emma, Hannah, Grace, Beth (both of you!), Becky - you’re all stars and we’ll miss you lots! Cannot wait for my daughter to start in April. If you’re considering shooting stars, definitely organise a visit to check it out. It’s the best nursery around for miles!
