About this day nursery

Sky High Achievers Stalybridge, established in 2023, provides a nurturing childcare setting on non-domestic premises for children aged 0-4 years. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 18:00 all year round, the nursery implements a highly ambitious Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, building upon each child's existing knowledge and abilities.

The setting places a strong emphasis on developing communication and language, with staff modelling new words and using visual prompts, especially during sensory activities like dough play, to embed learning for babies. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) achieve exceptionally well due to effective adaptations and tailored support, including the use of visual prompts and objects of reference.

The dedicated staff, who benefit from ongoing training, confidently identify and address barriers to learning, utilising additional funding to help close learning gaps. Daily access to outdoor learning allows children to explore the natural environment, develop physical skills, and enjoy fresh air.

Secure and trusting relationships between key persons and children form the foundation of the nursery's approach, ensuring children feel safe and valued. Parents consistently report that their children's individual needs are met effectively, and leaders maintain strong partnerships with families to ensure continuity in learning and promote children's welfare.

I was struggling to find a nursery for my 14 month old daughter just before starting uni, and didn’t feel confident sending her to other nurseries we’d looked at in the area. After viewing sky high I knew it would be perfect, and I feel 100% certain that she’s well looked after and looks forward to going everyday. Sky high has a really friendly and safe atmosphere. The nursery is open, bright, clean and all the children seem to be content and thriving. The manager Kim is lovely & all the nursery staff are really kind and very hardworking. I feel very lucky to have found such good a nursery and so close to me, thank you so much

Our wee gal attended for 5 months whilst we were temporarily living in Stalybridge. We chose Sky High Achievers based on recommendations from other local parents and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The staff are so lovely and caring and attentive and our daughter genuinely loved going. They communicated fantastically with us and we could feel how much the staff care. Thanks so much to Kim, Alex, Sarah, Mia, Gabby, Charlie and all the other staff for looking after our girl so well.

My daughter has been going to Sky High Achievers since January, and since the day we had our tour, we knew she would love the place. Since day one, all the staff has been nothing but lovely and helpful, and my daughter has built a beautiful relationship with the practitioners of baby room, where she currently is, but is also very comfortable with the rest of the staff, which to me says a lot about their warm and caring temperament. Since being there, we can tell how much our daughter is learning and how much she's developing her social skills. You get updates consistently throughout the day, as well as pictures of your little one through a secure app, but they will still update you of anything when you pick up your little one. Overall I couldn't think of a better place or better hands to look after my daughter.

Me and my 1 year old went for a tour of this nursery and straight away felt so happy with the atmosphere is the room. Kim was so polite and welcoming. My boy just ran off and started to play as though he's already at his own nursery. The staff were so friendly and the children there were very happy and so well behaved. The staff made my boy feel as though he was just at home. I would've chosen this nursery 100% if they could accommodate the hours I needed but overall a great nursery and would recommend to everyone. Great job guys

"Fantastic" is the only word that describes Sky High Achievers. From the moment our grandaughter arrived we knew it was going to be her "happy place" and we were right! Everyone is absolutely lovely, and one big happy family. Each day brings many new exciting challenges which she thoroughly enjoys. Little trips to local places of interest the days more interesting and helps with child development. Lots of photos showing different activities and giving parents and grandparents an insight to the daily activities is a big bonus. A massive thumbs up from us. "Sky High Achievers" Stalybridge really describes how there are no limitations to what you can achieve. We all love it!
