What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Parents speak positively about the nursery and the progress their children make.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff use assessment well to check children's starting points and identify areas where children require additional support. They liaise with other agencies and understand some of the ways that they can support children. However, activities and learning opportunities are not always tailored towards all children's specific needs. This means they are not always supported to make the best possible progress.

Outdoor space

Children take part in a variety of activities in the outdoor learning environment. They develop physically as they ride on the trikes and learn about growth and healthy living by growing fruits and vegetables. Staff provide children with experiences to explore the outdoor area throughout the day, using equipment like cars and ride-on toys, and conducting daily safety checks.

Small Talk Nursery (Dawley) is absolutely fantastic and deserves high praise. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and clearly passionate about what they do. They create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace. The range of activities on offer is excellent, with a strong focus on learning through play, creativity and social development. Children are kept engaged throughout the day with thoughtful, age appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors. The nursery promotes confidence, independence and communication in a really natural, supportive way. The setting itself is clean, well organised and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere. I moved my little girl to this nursery as it was better suited hours while working full time. They were so welcoming and really support not just your child’s needs but also the parents as well. I’m so grateful for all the things Small Talk Nursery has done for my child. The staff have been outstanding and really get to know you as the parent along the way. I can not wait to send our next child here when the time comes! Highly recommend Small Talks Dawley!
