During their latest inspection on 25th November 2021, Ofsted rated Smart Start Preschool as 'Good' in overall effectiveness. Children are warmly welcomed by their key person and quickly settle into a wide range of activities.

The staff act as good role models, treating children with kindness, which fosters very good behaviour. Children learn to share toys, take turns, and remember their good manners.

The preschool places a high priority on supporting children's well-being and helps them develop a healthy lifestyle, for example, by encouraging them to chop fruit for drinks. Outdoors, children are encouraged to be physically active, learning to climb and balance.

The manager and staff provide strong support for children who need extra help with their learning and development, working proactively with other professionals to help all children reach their full potential. Parents speak highly of the preschool and the kind and caring staff.

This Preschool has been great for my daughter. It has very easy access and good parking for pick ups and collections. They have a very broad learning journey and learning about lots of different things. She's had a really positive start which has now created a little girl ready for big school. All the teachers are what every parent/guardian wants which is loving, caring and responsible and they are all of these. The children all love each and everyone of them. They have a really good app which keeps communication in one place and enables us to have great communication with the Pre School and what she's been up to.

Our daughter started this preschool a few weeks ago and is absolutely thriving. She really loves it there, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and she has made some lovely friends in such a short space of time. She has really developed since starting and it has been lovely to see, just wish she had started much sooner. I would recommend this preschool to anyone looking for thier child to start a friendly, caring and nurturing environment.

My little one loves going to Smart Start pre school. The owner Debbie is so supportive not only to the children but to us parents as well. The other staff are pretty great too. There is plenty of space for children to roam and explore the setting. I'd highly recommend this pre school to others.
