Operating Monday to Friday with sessions from 08:45-11:45, 12:15-14:50, and a full day from 08:45-14:50, Spinney Pre School received a "Good" overall rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on November 27, 2025. The curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a strong emphasis on fostering communication, language, and personal, social, and emotional skills.

The pre-school excels in its provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), offering bespoke plans, adapted environments, and strategic use of additional funding. What it's like

Children are very happy, safe, and settled at the pre-school. They separate from parents with ease, engage quickly in play and learning, and are becoming increasingly independent. Children confidently use the water dispenser, put on their own coats, and prepare snacks, demonstrating secure skills for the future. Staff teach children about inclusion and how routines are adapted for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, even teaching them to sign to promote empathy and understanding.
