SEND provision

Staff identify when children may require additional help swiftly and work closely with parents and other professionals to provide a consistent and tailored approach for these children. All children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress and develop a positive attitude to learning.

Outdoor space

Staff kindly reassure children that they can change their clothes when they have finished playing, so it does not matter if they get dirty. This gives children the confidence to play, learn and explore freely using their senses. They paint with their hands, transport rice into containers and laugh when they fall over in the mud in the garden.

My four year old son has been going to Cedars (and the nursery before it, now called Beacon Nursery) since he was 7 months old. The day to day care that is provided is second to none. He has a lovely relationship with his key worker and the other workers too. They are like a second family with him. At Cedars they nurture positive relationships with the carers and between the children themselves too. They have a fantastic range of activities available from the usual sand and water to baking to having people coming in to do screen printing. The garden there is fantastic too and the children spend lots of time outdoors. They have a very progressive, child-focused approach to child-care. The workers are very engaged and highly qualified or working towards qualifications. Home-cooked meals are available that my son loves and they cater for his dairy intolerance. In short this is a wonderful childcare setting.

Fantastic nursery. My child loves their days at nursery, has formed lots of good friendships and has really thrived here. The garden and facilities are great and the staff are lovely.

Amazing nursery,staff are fantastic with my two boys one which is in baby room and one thats in toddler room My boys are well looked after and well fed by the kitchen and chef that provides lovely hot meals for all the children and snacks thoughout the day The nursery has brilliant equipment the children get to use slides,mud kitchen,fantastic garden and trays for messy play,toys,bricks,sensory toys,soft play and lots lots more. You name it they do it!! The staff always go the extra mile to make sure the children are happy and having a fun filled time. As a parent I couldn’t ask for a better nursery For my children to go too,hence I’ve sent both my children there. The staff and nursery really are great

Fabulous Nursery and Pre-School! My daughter has been attending from a baby until her graduation this month. Amazing facilities, extensive gardens, committed nursery nurses and an overall wonderful place to grow a little mind :)

Where to start, when my toddler started here 17 months ago it presented as a caring and warm place with friendly staff, well organised and safe, how things can change with a few management and staff changes, have just pulled him out, over the last 6 months we have picked him up with over flowing dirty nappies and when complaining they gave attitude saying we must have dropped him off like that, which in it self shows then they couldn't of checked him the entire time there, and even tho we change him in the car park out side before he goes in, On 2 ocassions as his last day today he has come home with grazes and a mark on his head they give no explanation for and they completely unaware of other children hitting him, I have witnessed the manager shouting at children twice in the last few weeks and have no idea how this uncaring and unfreindly individuaI has been employed, I had my wife pull him out early today as I witnessed another child bullying him and could see that the staff were not up to dealing with this appropriately, This nusery is an absolute sham, leaving him there for 3 hours a week has been stressful enough I Could not Imagine leaving a child there all week, there are a couple of really good staff that are still there to which I would say thanks and do your self's a favour and go some where better,
