St Michael's Pre-School, located in Tettenhall, has been a pillar of the community for over 60 years, committed to offering a nurturing and secure setting for children to begin their educational journey. Operating under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, the curriculum thoughtfully incorporates engaging and enjoyable activities, from practical learning exercises to thematic studies. The large, secure outdoor play area promotes physical development and confidence through active play, while outdoor and nature discovery activities, such as gardening and external trips, connect children with the natural world.
A wide array of sensory experiences, including messy play and cooking, supports crucial developmental stages. The preschool also emphasises social skill development within its warm and supportive environment, helping children build friendships and express themselves.

The nursery charges on a per-session or full-day basis, with specific rates for breakfast club and booking two sessions. Fees are updated as of April 2025, and extra hourly charges or late fees may apply.

Inclusion & environment

Support for children with SEND is a strength of the pre-school; the manager works closely with parents and outside professionals to ensure these children receive the support they need, and staff sensitively adapt activities to ensure inclusion.
Children thrive outdoors, where they spend a high proportion of their day. They learn about colour blending, operate spray bottles with paint to strengthen small muscles, and discuss how to make different colours. They also run around chasing bubbles and manoeuvre wheeled toys around obstacles, developing their physical skills.
