About this day nursery

Stand Farm Nursery, situated in a Grade II listed building in Liverpool, provides a nurturing environment for children from birth to five years old. The nursery is thoughtfully designed with dedicated rooms for babies (0-2 years), toddlers (2-3 years), and pre-schoolers (3-5 years), each boasting its own private garden area in addition to a large, secure communal outdoor space.

The facility also features a main kitchen where a chef prepares fresh meals and snacks, a sensory room for small group activities, and a well-resourced children's library to foster a love of reading. Emphasising a holistic approach to early childhood education, Stand Farm Nursery plans activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), incorporating seasonal events, celebrations, and individual children's interests.

The nursery is also an active participant in Liverpool's Reading Advocacy Programme, integrating stories, songs, and rhymes into daily routines. Beyond its premises, the nursery aims to broaden children's understanding of the wider community through local outings and engagement with emergency services and businesses.

Our ethos

Stand Farm is a totally inclusive nursery, passionate about providing a secure, safe environment in which children can play, learn and develop – personally, socially and emotionally. We believe that every child should know just how special they are, be able to confidently interact with us and explore the world around them, supported and encouraged by our highly experienced, qualified staff team. Children’s activities and topics are planned in line with the EYFS and according to the time of the year, to include religious days, seasonal events and celebrations, as well as the interests and needs of the children.

SEND provision

Outdoor space

All children enjoy outdoor play. They laugh out loud as they play chasing games, climb large equipment and search for insects in the surrounding nature. This helps to support children's personal development and understanding of the world.

This is a lovely nursery can’t recommend enough. My baby was born prem so felt like I was extra nervous detaching myself from him. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure we were ok he runs in to nursery now and comes out so happy. They send home lovely little keep sakes on occasions like Mother’s Day Easter Christmas etc. the staff are so friendly and treat your baby like there their own. Couldn’t recommend enough! They go above and beyond!
