Stanley's at Hebburn is an outstanding childcare setting in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, registered in 2012. The nursery prides itself on fostering superb relationships between children and staff in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

They offer a rich variety of stimulating and challenging activities, with a strong focus on physical development and outdoor learning, including nurturing an allotment. Children are encouraged to explore, investigate, and solve problems through hands-on experiences, such as decorating dough with natural ingredients or experimenting with remote-controlled cars to understand speed.

The dedicated staff, all holding appropriate early years qualifications, ensure that children receive excellent support for their behaviour, communication, and language skills, using specific praise to celebrate achievements. How they support every child

SEND provision

Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is outstanding. Staff work closely with partners in education and health to provide consistent strategies, use resources and sign language, including sand timers, fidget toys and sensory cushions, to help support and communicate with children.

Outdoor space

Children develop their muscles as they climb, stretch, and swing in hammocks in the enclosed garden. They learn about nature and the wider world by exploring life cycles with tadpoles and caterpillars, bird watching, bug hunting, and growing cucumbers, strawberries, and tomatoes in the nursery's allotment.
