It is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 6pm, offering places on a term-time or all-year-round basis. The inspector found that staff are caring and nurturing, and that children feel safe and secure. The curriculum has a strong focus on communication and language, with staff receiving training to promote early language skills. Children enjoy lots of fresh air and outdoor play, with opportunities to run, climb, and use wheeled toys. The report also noted that good support is in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. An adjoining building provides a dedicated space for children attending the before and after-school club.

SEND provision

Good support is in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff use effective assessment to plan activities to promote skills in the prime areas of learning. The provider and staff have the same ambitions for all children and support their participation in activities by introducing different textures and sensory experiences.

Highly recommend Summerfields nursery. A lovely home from home nursery with friendly, knowledgeable staff who take an active role in progression with each child & actively encourage learning.
