Inclusion & environment
Partnerships with parents are effective, helping staff identify when children may need additional support. Staff also have good partnerships with external agencies, such as speech and language therapists, to meet individual children's needs. The setting provides extra-curricular activities, such as football and dance classes, that support the physical development and confidence of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Staff support children to develop their physical skills by organising large group activities outdoors, where children practise jumping, running and balancing on one leg. Staff also support children to take risks in the outdoor environment while being sensitive to individual needs and tactfully supporting them.
Sunflowers is a brilliant nursery. My son attended from being 10 months old until starting school, and now my daughter is attending. The nursery has brilliant facilities for the children and the staff are really friendly and have a great relationship with my children. The nursery app is regularly updated which I love reading what my daughter has been doing throughout the day. The staff are really committed to the children and the effort they put in for the children is amazing.
Read on GoogleGreat team throughout the whole nursery. My eldest went and now my youngest goes. Love the photos and updates on the app on the day he attends. They have also been able to manage short notice extended days for my youngest and before and after school care for my eldest which is really appreciated. Staff and management are very approachable and friendly. Thank you for looking after my kids!!
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been at Sunflowers since she was 18 months old and has grown in confidence and made great friends during her time there. She always has fun playing and has learned a lot too. As she moves up to school, I think we will all miss the staff here. They have always been really professional and friendly. On a professional note, I have been hired by Sunflowers for a couple of art jobs and they have always been ideal clients; always known what they want and always paid on time.
Read on GoogleVery unimpressed with this nursery, they changed my sons hours from 3 full days to 5 1/2 days with no notice or consultation, when we said we would need to move to another nursery, they attempted to hold us to 30 days notice (on times we couldn't accommodate). Staff are rude and unhelpful.
Read on GoogleA lovely setting with amazing staff. My lg loves attending and I get to see what she's doing with the daily updates on the app.
