About this day nursery

30pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. The day nursery received a "Good" rating from its Ofsted inspection on 11 October 2022.

Children arrive at the day nursery excited and keen to investigate activities, leaving their parents with ease and being greeted by welcoming staff. They have fun investigating and exploring, such as predicting what might be inside pumpkins and giggling at the slimy feel.

Children demonstrate good independence skills, which are positively encouraged throughout the day; they put on their own coats, serve themselves nutritious snacks and meals, and carefully pour their own drinks. Quality resources are accessible, supporting children's imagination and creativity, with a popular role-play area where children act out real-life scenarios.

The nursery focuses on supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development, with staff having high expectations for all children. Mathematical development progresses well through a variety of engaging opportunities, and staff introduce new words to broaden children's vocabulary.

Parents speak highly of the care provided, noting that their children settle quickly and are excited to attend, feeling fully informed about their children's development. Staff are described as warm and supportive, going "above and beyond" to ensure good progress.

The key-person system is effective, fostering close bonds between children and staff, and the setting works closely with outside agencies to enhance outcomes, particularly for children requiring additional support.
