Sunshine Montessori Nursery in High Wycombe offers a nurturing environment where children from 9 months to 4 years old can flourish through hands-on Montessori learning and extensive outdoor experiences. The nursery operates 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm, with extended hours available from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, subject to availability.
Situated across two locations, one for its main nursery and another for the babies' nursery, Sunshine Montessori is celebrated for its warm, experienced, and long-standing team who cultivate a sense of belonging and support for every child. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to encompass sensory play, physical exploration, practical life activities, arts and crafts, and open-ended play.
A significant highlight is the dedicated Forest School programme, which provides all children, from babies to preschoolers, with weekly opportunities to learn and connect with nature, fostering confidence, resilience, and respect for the natural world. The nursery also emphasises community engagement through visits to a local care home and interactions with older peers, ensuring a holistic development approach.

Inclusion & environment
Staff promptly identify children who may need some extra support. They adapt the curriculum very well to help these children make good progress and get the most from their time at nursery.
There is a strong focus on outdoor learning, and children regularly attend forest school sessions. In addition, children help grow food at their allotment. Staff use these experiences very well to help children learn to care for their environment and to appreciate nature.
