Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are identified swiftly, and focused support plans are put into place. Additional funding is used well; for example, the provider purchased story sacks, which are used to support and encourage children's engagement and concentration skills. Staff work well with other professionals to support children's learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children are given regular opportunities for physical activity in the outdoor areas. For instance, children enjoy climbing up the climbing frame and choosing which way they will climb or slide down. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

Both of my children had an amazing time at Testwood Baptist Church preschool! They loved having a balance of indoor and outdoor space to play in and choose where they could play. The staff are absolutely amazing and recognised the specific ways my children liked to play and how to get them ready for school. It is such a welcoming and safe place and my children loved going in every day. I was so sad when we had to say goodbye to everyone at the end of our time there but my children were happy and confident and ready to move onto their next adventures!
