How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff are skilled at supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children's needs are met through careful planning. Managers and staff work closely with external agencies and families so that children's needs are understood. They make sure that children with SEND receive the support that they need to flourish in their learning.

Outdoor space

Staff provide an excellent outdoor learning environment for children and a wealth of opportunities to develop children's physical skills. They teach children how to keep themselves safe, including how to climb trees and use equipment and resources safely.

Both my 9 year old and my 3 year old have been attending The Barn for 18 months (since they moved to the new site at the Elmwood Community Centre, opposite Hartburn Primary School) and I can honestly say they've never been happier. My 9 year old has a great circle of friends and loves spending time with Adventure Tom and learning new skills and my 3 year old is developing new skills brought in directly by the great staff. I've always regarded the staff as trustworthy, friendly and I feel that my Kids best interests are at the very core of this nursery. The staff throughout have proven themselves to be great, approachable as well as being open to new ideas. My children are dropped off and collected from primary school on a daily basis and fed prior to me dragging them away on a night. They always come home happy but tired and both love the place. Thanks again.

Our daughter has been going to the Barn in Hartburn since she was one. She has always loved it there and the staff are so nurturing and caring, I have always felt at ease knowing that she is well cared for. She has so many opportunities to learn and develop and we are kept updated with messages and photos. We would highly recommend the Barn to any parents and love seeing the relationships that our daughter has developed with staff and peers over the past few years.
