About this day nursery

The Berrypatch is a charitable nursery located in Finedon Community Centre in Wellingborough. The setting provides care for children from nine months up to the age of 11 years. There is a baby room for children from nine months to two years, and a nursery room for two, three, and four-year-olds. The Berrypatch also operates an out-of-school provision for primary school children from Reception to Year 6.

The day nursery offers government-funded childcare places. This includes 15-hour places for eligible working parents of children from nine months, for disadvantaged two-year-olds, and universally for three and four-year-olds. Thirty-hour funded places are also available for eligible working parents of three and four-year-olds.

Our ethos

We strongly believe that children learn through play and therefore our setting is child-led. Children are free to choose what they want to play with and are encouraged to be independent as much as possible. The role of the adult is to provide the resources for the children and to interact with the children to further their knowledge and skills. By fostering independence, children become capable, resilient and confident and therefore are able to learn.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged at an hourly rate, banded by age for children under two and those aged two and over. Additional hours outside of funded provision are charged at the standard hourly rate. Invoices are issued monthly in advance.

  • A 10% sibling discount is available.
  • Fees are invoiced on the 15th of each month, in advance, to be paid within 14 days.
