Apple Tree Day Nurseries (Burton Latimer) Ltd, established in 2006, provides a warm and welcoming environment where children from 0 to 5 years old are excited to explore. The nursery fosters strong relationships between children and staff, ensuring children feel comfortable and supported.
Activities are tailored to children's interests, exemplified by a recent visit to a local sunflower farm which inspired art and discussions about Van Gogh. The setting promotes a strong sense of belonging, with individual coat pegs and displays celebrating the link between home and nursery, including photos of children reading with their families to cultivate a love for books.
Children demonstrate exemplary behaviour, respecting each other and the setting, and are encouraged to make independent choices in their learning, such as selecting music and movement sessions. The curriculum focuses on developing independence skills, from young babies washing hands to older children preparing their own snacks.
Imaginative play is encouraged, with older children creating and documenting their own stories. Children are curious and inquisitive learners, engaging in sensory activities and making potions.
The setting makes good progress for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), with skilled staff providing early identification and support. Parents are highly complimentary, valuing the progress their children make and feeling well-informed through effective communication.
Staff enjoy their work, collaborating and regularly accessing training to enhance their practice. Apple Tree Day Nurseries (Burton Latimer) Ltd was rated "Good" in its August 2022 Ofsted inspection for overall effectiveness, quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

My daughter started here at the age of 10 months old and not only have Apple Tree helped ans supported her to become the confident toddler she now is, their professionalism and genuine care for her also helped me in my return to work from maternity leave. Knowing my daughter is at a nursery she loves, with wonderful staff who have her best interests at heart. The family feel to Apple Tree is what sold it to us, and seeing how happy my child is both going to nursery and coming home each day, confirms we made the right choice. (The staff are also wonderful when its you as the parent who might be having a bad day, nothing a hug and a pep talk can't sort!)
Read on GoogleI highly recommend sending your children to apple tree. My daughter absolutely loved going to this nursery, she had so much fun and loved coming home with her drawings, paintings, biscuits and cards to show me. My daughter was quite late when she started nursery but the amazing staff helped her settle in, become more confident and gain new skills. She had a good bond with all the staff, always wanted to go to nursery, even on her days off and was really upset to leave to go to big school. Thank you apple tree staff for all the support, advice and guidance you gave us! ❤️
Read on GoogleAmazing Nursery. Apple Tree have been nothing but amazing for our little boy. Hes attended since he was 14months old and now in his last year. He absolutely loves going in every morning and has made so many friends. The staff are always so understanding and knowledgeable and he continues to learn so much. They've always put his needs first. I was incredibly fussy when choosing childcare for him and Apple Tree instantly made me feel relaxed and I knew it was the perfect place for my little boy to thrive and reach his full potential. All of the staff are so kind, approachable and dedicated to the children in their care.
Read on GoogleApple Tree is a wonderful nursery. The staff are so attentive and caring. My eldest who has just left to start primary school was so shy at first and in the year she has been there has grown massively in confidence and has started school brilliantly. My son who started at 14 months loves nursery so much. I loved the settling in sessions which helped us both get used to nursery and I am always able to take him down to the baby room and settle him in before leaving. I get daily updates with details about naps what he has eaten and pictures which I love looking at throughout the day. The staff are so attentive, caring and nurturing and I couldn’t recommend a better nursery with staff that genuinely care ♥️
Read on GoogleI cannot praise Apple Tree enough! My little girl has thrived since she started and is so sociable and happy. She asks to go even on her days off. The staff are second to none and incredibly hard working and kind. It is hard as a mother to leave your child for the day to go and work, but I cannot imagine leaving her with anyone else. Lesley and her fantastic team are absolute stars. I have already enrolled my second child with Apple Tree to start next year with the knowledge he will be cared for and have a fantastic start in his little life and learning.
