Leaders identify when changes to routines are needed to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They provide focused support activities to promote children's social, communication and language skills. Leaders have established effective systems to identify children's emerging needs at an early stage and hold regular discussions with staff to review children's progress and identify next steps for children with SEND. They work collaboratively with external professionals and secure additional funding for timely support, implementing a communication and language intervention tool.
