  • Staff have a very good knowledge and understanding of what they want children to learn and achieve. Improvements have been made as to how staff plan for, and support, children's learning.
  • Staff now regularly share children's developmental progress and next steps in learning with parents. They offer ideas to encourage children to continue their learning at home.
  • Staff have a good knowledge of developing children's communication and language skills.
  • The manager is encouraging and supportive in the way she manages staff, including their workload.

Areas to develop

  • 1give children more time to respond to questioning during activities and story time sessions
  • 2support children to develop their self-care skills, such as by improving the organisation of mealtimes, so that all children can make choices and self-serve their own food.

Going back to work after having my first child was incredibly daunting but it has been made so much easier since my son joined The Crown. The staff there clearly love what they do and adore all the children. My son has thrived under their care and in the carefully curated environment. Charlotte and her team are brilliant and their methods of keeping families up to date during the day mean I’m not missing my little one too much!

Our daughter has attended The Crown Nursery for over 6 months now, since she was 11 months old and absolutely loves going there. Charlotte and her team are very dedicated, responsive and caring, which as a first time parent and working mum gives me total peace of mind.
