The Early Years Nursery in Kidlington, established in February 2016, provides exceptional childcare for children aged from birth up to 5 years. Located in The Old Farmhouse within the grounds of London Oxford Airport, the nursery offers a unique and homely setting.
The dedicated team of qualified teachers and educators foster a nurturing environment where children can flourish at their own pace. The nursery operates on a philosophy that respects the natural rhythm of childhood, allowing for a harmonious balance of activities throughout the day.
This approach, rooted in repetition, inquiry, and imitation, enables children to learn organically from their experiences. The Early Years Nursery is committed to providing therapeutic and respectful care and education, extending its support to the entire family through their parenting journey.
The premises, with their earth walls, exposed beams, and ample natural light, create a living space that feels deeply connected to the children's well-being and development.
Our ethos
Our ethos is to create and sustain a nursery which provides therapeutic and respectful care and education and to nurture the whole family in their journey of parenting. We work out of an understanding of a respectful pedagogy using rhythm, repetition, inquiry and imitation, allowing the child to learn from life and out of life at a pace naturally set by them. The nursery is designed to be a rhythmical environment, a therapeutic space that prioritises the child’s well-being and allows them to thrive in conditions that reflect their inherent rhythms.

Inclusion & environment
Staff provide strong levels of support for children's needs, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Children who are less confident to seek out adult interaction and children with identified speech delay do not consistently benefit from focused support that helps them become confident communicators.
Staff actively encourage free exploration of the outdoors area, supervising children suitably as they take manageable risks in their play, such as climbing small trees. Older children show high levels of motivation and enthusiasm, as they take manageable risks outdoors or solve problems with their friends.
Outstanding place, highly recommend! Our child has been here for almost 3yrs and the whole team have been incredible throughout. We are very grateful to the Early Years for being so instrumental in helping our child develop in to a confident, kind, enthusiastic and emotionally balanced toddler. We couldn’t have wished for a better place and team to entrust with our child’s care.
Read on GoogleThe only problem with your child going to Early Years is that it spoils your experience of any other childcare setting. Both my children have been extremely happy here, with a big emphasis on independence, social and emotional development. The staff demonstrate genuine care and I’ve learnt so much from them too. They live the ethos with integrity. Thank you ❤️
Read on GoogleMy children go to this nursery and we find it to be a wonderful, positive environment for them and their peers. All the staff are well trained, caring and friendly. The nursery follows the Pikler ethos which is such a positive way to raise and teach children.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending since she was 6 weeks old due to my work commitments. She is thriving at 9 months old, she is so advanced and loves all of the carers here. I have no concerns of her welfare while working which is such a weight off my mind. I would highly recommend this nursery for their care and professionalism
Read on GoogleWe are so happy with this nursery and their lovely and professional staff. Definitely the best choice for us!
