Our ethos
At The Forest Tree Nursery, we are firm believers in giving every child the best start in life. We understand that early childhood experiences shape lives, and we acknowledge that a single style of learning does not suit every child. We foster an environment where each child is nurtured, encouraged to learn at their own pace within a safe and caring setting. Working alongside families, staff, and our wider community, our aim is to empower each child to reach their full potential through enriching experiences that expand their learning horizons. Our outdoor environment ensures that children have the opportunity to explore the world around them in a large, natural space, where they can take managed risks supported by our staff, who promote self-belief and resilience.

Inclusion & environment
Children with emerging or identified needs are recognised quickly, with clear individual plans in place. Staff work closely with external agencies and support parents to understand and access appropriate interventions. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make consistent progress. Those who previously had limited communication and social interaction now engage confidently in play and begin to express their needs confidently.
Children particularly enjoy the outdoor environment, which forms a key part of the curriculum. Staff recognise the importance of outdoor learning and provide children with regular opportunities to climb, run, crawl and explore. This supports children's physical development and ability to regulate their feelings.
My child has been attending this nursery now for 6 months and I have seen good improvements both in my child and the nursery. The staff are very attentive and meet all my child's needs very well. The nursery manager Mez and the rest of the team do an amazing job in looking after each and every child individually. My child has settled in well and enjoys the nursery routine, learning lots and developing intellectually and socially and meeting all developmental milestones which is really pleasing to see. The nursery is clean & not too overwhelming for the children, they have plenty of outdoor time too as they specialise in being a forest nursery. Allergies and health issues are taken seriously & parental concerns are always listened to. The nursery adopts a holistic approach working together with the staff, children and the parents. I feel content sending my child to Forest Tree nursery and will always recommend it to family and friends. Thank you to all the staff at Forest Tree for your hard work, dedication & looking after all the children really well.
Read on GoogleMy daughter started at this nursery a few months ago, and our experience so far has been extremely positive. From the very beginning, the staff have been welcoming, attentive, and highly professional, which made the settling-in process smooth and reassuring for both my daughter and us as parents. The team clearly care about the children and take the time to understand each child’s individual needs. Communication has been excellent, and we are always kept informed about our daughter’s day, progress, and development. We are very happy with the level of care and support provided and would confidently recommend this nursery to other parents looking for a nurturing and professional setting for their child.
Read on GoogleI am very disappointed with the level of service provided by this nursery. Communication has been extremely poor throughout our experience. During my daughter’s settling-in session, I received a call within five minutes saying she was not settling. I feel that there was not enough time or effort given to help her settle in properly. I was also informed that the nursery had several new starters at the same time and were struggling to manage them all. This raised serious concerns for me about whether they are able to reliably care for my daughter. I was told that the manager would contact me to discuss the next settling-in session, but I never received a call. I also sent an email outlining my concerns and, to date, have not received any response. This lack of follow-up and communication feels unprofessional. Additionally, I was made aware that children were attending the nursery while suffering from bronchitis, which caused me to question the nursery’s illness and health policies. Overall, this experience has left me very dissatisfied and concerned.
Read on GoogleI had always intended on homeschooling my child as I never thought I would find a nursery/school setting that would nurture my child and allow my child to blossom in a way that aligns with my values. Then a colleague of mine recommended the Forest Tree and I attended the open day. It all went uphill from here! The care and affection showed to my child whilst at the nursery has blown me away. The Manager Mez and all the teachers treat every child with the greatest care. They connect with the child and allow the child to express themselves and speak to them on their level catering to their needs and allowing them safe space to be themselves and learn at the same time. As a parent the communication regarding my child's day to day progress and development has been exceptional. They have included me in my child's special milestones - his first school party, his first school trip and then his graduation which was executed in the most beautiful manner. The Forest Tree Nursery has enabled my son to become a confident young boy and taught him what he needs to progress and move on to the next chapter in his life. I will send all my children here and I could not recommend this Nursery enough! Thank you Mez for creating such a safe space for our children and to all the lovely teachers; Selina, Iman & Sally.
Read on GoogleForest Tree Nursery has been such a wonderful experience for me, my husband, and our daughter and it continues to be outstanding in everything they do. From the very beginning, Manager Mez has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making the whole transition so easy and comforting. The entire staff are warm, caring, and genuinely nurturing towards each child. It truly puts my mind at ease knowing our daughter is in such good, safe, and loving hands. Forest Tree Nursery is exceptional, and I honestly cannot recommend it enough! A big thank you to Mez and the entire team for creating such a safe and special space for our little ones. 😊
