About this day nursery

The Higham Hill Centre, operated by Lloyd Park Children's Charity, provides a stimulating and purpose-built environment for children aged 6 months to 4 years. Located near Higham Hill Park and the Wetlands, the centre encourages exploration of the surrounding community through regular trips and welcomes visitors like police, firefighters, and musicians to enrich children's experiences.

The facility includes dedicated spaces for infants, a sensory room, three connected play areas, and a playground with a courtyard for both indoor and outdoor free-flow play.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well to reach their full potential. Staff working with the children have a good understanding of their learning and physical needs, and work closely with health professionals. This results in children making remarkable headway in their development and their individual health and medical needs are catered for, enabling them to participate fully in the routines of the setting.

Outdoor space

Children have plenty of opportunities for fresh air and enjoy a range of activities in the outdoor area. Older children make marks during activities, for example, drawing targets for their friends to aim for when they jump onto the crash mat. Younger children make marks with paint on the outdoor easel. Children have plenty of opportunities to be physically active, and they enjoy their time outside.

I have two children, I usually attend play sessions at Highams hill children centre which is really a very good and nice place, my children gets very happy with staff, particularly Sabine is really very helpful and supportive she helped me a lot to improve my child’s development skills.. thanks to Sabine
