Inclusion & environment
Staff have exceptional knowledge about how to best support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to take a full part in learning, enabling them to achieve as highly as others. Partnerships with other professionals involved in the care of children with SEND are excellently maintained. The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) shared the impact of her role on children's progress during the inspection.
On an unusually hot inspection day, exciting outdoor experiences included splashing and laughing with friends in the paddling pool and exploring bugs frozen in ice. Pre-school children have a weekly football session and teachers from the academy teach PE sessions, with children showing their football skills in the large playground.
